CONGRATULATIONS!
CONGRATULATIONS!
In our 10th year of giving, we are honored to present the first scholarship of 2025 to Kailee Parrish, a high school senior at Clinton High School. Kailee is quite an all-around scholar, demonstrating leadership on and off the court! She has been an MVP player and volleyball captain, a committed member of the varsity soccer team, as well as an enthusiastic dancer with an extensive body of knowledge in a variety of dance forms.
Kailee will be venturing off to NC State University in the fall, where she intends to develop a solid foundation in the biological sciences, which are crucial for comprehending human health and skin care. Her educational endeavors won't stop there! She plans to continue on to medical school at East Carolina University to fulfill her dream of being a knowledgeable and kind dermatologist.
Congratulations, Kailee! We are proud supporters of your future endeavors!
The 2nd Louis & Katie Raynor Scholarship recipient of 2025 is Haelee Moone, a future graduate of Clayton High School and future student of Shaw University!
Haelee is an active participant of several extracurricular activities, notably the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), and Rhoer Club, Sigma Beta Pi Chapter. Haelee is also co-founder of The Rules of a Big Boss LLC, whose mission is to uplift and empower people worldwide through diverse resources, addressing challenges like anxiety, low self-esteem, and promoting self-love.
Haelee's future looks so bright and we are thrilled to be a part of it. Her goal is to pursue a career in law, where she can advocate for justice and empower individuals who need mentorship and guidance. Haelee dreams of leading initiatives that address socioeconomic barriers while promoting self-love and empowerment on a larger scale.
Congratulations, Haelee! We just know you will continue to shine!
Avery Jones, our 3rd scholarship winner of 2025, is on her way to East Carolina University this fall! She will be graduating from Union High School this spring, and we are excited to award her one of this year's scholarships.
Avery has dreams of becoming a pediatric dentist and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their dental care. She wants to help children create positive and healthy habits that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Avery plans to major in biology at ECU, followed by graduate school to pursue a degree in dentistry. Afterward, Avery is determined to return to Sampson County and open a pediatric dental practice to provide families in her rural community with the specialized dental care their children deserve.
We think this has the makings of a wonderful future, and we're so thrilled to be a part of Avery's future success!
We're thrilled to announce our final scholarship recipient of 2025: Kensley Cox! A future graduate of Mattamuskeet School and soon-to-be student at East Carolina University, Kensley's story is one of incredible resilience and determination.
Her application highlighted the obstacles she's overcome, crediting her parents for their unwavering support. Softball became a powerful motivator, teaching her the impact of teamwork and the guidance of a good coach. Kensley, a proud student of the Hyde County Public School System, understands the challenges rural locations pose for accessing opportunities. That's why, with her coach's help, she now mentors young athletes in her community, ensuring they have the support she often had to travel two hours to find.
Kensley plans to major in Exercise Physiology at ECU.
We couldn't be prouder of how she's transforming challenges into a bright future. Way to go, Kensley!
